Challenge:

 Once the budgets are set and the advertiser agreed to the campaign planning, it’s time to set up your orders and items in a DSP or Social Media Platform. Ideally this should be started from ADvendio, so you can directly build up the connection to your Items and use ADvendios delivery features, to automatically receive media cost and performance data.

If you click on the related tab, you can see all the relevant Buying Orders and Items, which were already created. You can see key information, like the budget used for planning each item, the actual media cost and other KPI like the number of impressions, conversions or the eCPM.

Plan your Media Buying with Buying Orders and Buying Items

Now that your budget and goals are planned on the Campaign Item, you want to move into actually defining your media spend.

This can be items that are directly booked into DSPs or Social Media platforms, or you can create orders, which you will send to publishers and suppliers. You are flexible in how detailed you want to break down the elements, but each of those will offer you ways to track the total media cost and easily compare it to your Campaign Item Amount, to make sure you don’t spend more money than initially planned!

To help you go through the media buying process more smoothly, will taking care of the all the individual settings, our Buying Extension offers a simple step by step flow, which guides you and helps making the right decisions.

To start the Buying Flow, please look for the button labeled ‘Plan Media Buying’ on your Campaign Item.

This will open a new window to help you configure your individual Buying Orders and Buying Items:

After selecting your Platform / Media Buying type, you will be guided through the individual steps and settings. With our Media Buying extension, we offer you an example for each of our natively integrated platforms (Google DV360, Facebook/Instagram, Xandr Invest), as well as examples to handle direct media buying or reselling of services.

Quick and easy bulk editing

Additionally you can also use our bulk edit component for the Buying Orders and Items, which is available in the ADvendio core package (Available with ADvendio version 2.146). This can help you to view all your Orders and Items at the same time and quickly modify some settings.

As a slim alternative, our ADvendio Pilot also offers you a small guided flow, which can be opened from the Campaign Item.

A window will open, showing the key fields to set for a new Buying Order. As you notice some fields are already filled, like the advertiser, the start and end date as well as a budget amount based on your Campaign Item.

View the Buying Orders and Buying Items for your Campaign Item

After you’re done with the planning, you can use the Layouts we included in the Media Buying Extension to view all your Buying Orders and Buying Items. Simply click on the related tab:

Now if you open the Buying Order, the ADvendio Pilot offers you the following overview. There is a section at the top, which again shows you the connected Campaign Items. This way you can easily compare your Buying Order with your initial planning.
