External Systems

AWS

Please note that this feature is still in a Beta phase. Therefore this feature is subject to change. We are working on making this feature generally available during 2024.

Please note that this feature requires an extra license. Contact your Sales Rep for more information.

Challenge

Being able to upload creatives to ADvendio while maintaining affordable file storage costs.

Solution

To offer affordable file storage when using Creative Management in ADvendio we offer a connection to AWS storage.

This allows you to seamlessly upload Creatives through your ADvendio interface.

Screen Recording 2024-01-17 at 13.43.35.mov

What you can not see is that the system will upload the creative to ADvendio’s AWS and create a public URL to preview the file and send it over to AdServers when starting the submit.

Check the Setup section at the bottom for more information on the configuration of this feature.

If you don’t have the required license you will see the following message when opening the Ad Material Management: “This feature is not part of your current ADvendio license.“

Outlook

During 2024 we are working on he following topics in this regard:

  • Submitting the file to delivery systems during submit instead of the external URL.

Setup

To enable the External Creative storage please keep in mind that this feature requires an extra license. Contact your Sales Rep for more information.

After getting the license please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that the OAuth access is granted via any connection record: 1.6 How to authenticate/authorize ADvendio Gateway for the use of our Third Party System integrations? - Authorize ADvendio message / OAuth .

  2. Go to Setup > App Launcher > Feature Settings and create a new Feature Setting record with:

    1. Feature Setting Name: EnableExternalUpload

    2. Feature Name: CreativeUpload

(info) This setting is subject to change.

  3. Go to the Ad Creative Templates which you would like to use and change the Ad Creative Variables responsible for the creative to the type “attachmentURL“.
(info) This setting is subject to change.

  4. You are ready to go. Just use your Creative Upload features as usual and notice the small message during upload saying that the upload is running to an External system. Also instead of saving the image file for the Ad Creative the publicURL will be saved.
