Challenge:

Once you imported your Programmatic Revenue or Media Buying Data into ADvendio from your SSPs, DSPs or similar platforms you want to make a connection to your Salesforce data.

You might want to say, these advertisers or buyers belong to these Salesforce Accounts. Or those Ad Units / Formats belong to these products in ADvendio.

Later on, you want to see which data is still missing this connection in order to update this.

Solution:

In order to help you with this ADvendio offers multiple tools. We’re using our own Salesforce Objects called Programmatic Advertisers and Programmatic Prices for you to store the connection to your Salesforce data.

Why the mapping?

Our end goal is to turn the programmatic data incoming, into Media Campaigns. This will help you to track your monthly programmatic revenue in ADvendio, but also to easily use this information in our accounting module. For this we need to map certain data to your existing Salesforce records, in order to build the right relations.

When we look at the incoming data, it is something like this:

Here we want to relate the different columns to different parts of the ADvendio data. Like Programmatic Advertisers to Accounts and the inventory information to Ad Prices:

Which ultimately allows you to create Media Campaigns for your data. For example to track: Revenue per Advertiser and Programmatic Partner.

What can be mapped?

For both you can find a separate Wizard, which will help you get an overview about your data and create new connections:
7.7.8.3.1 Connect the Buyers / Advertisers to your ADvendio Accounts

7.7.8.3.2 Connect Ad Units / Placements / formats to your ADvendio Products / Programmatic Price Wizard

7.7.8.3.5 Connect Programmatic Partners to relevant Salesforce Partner Accounts

How to quickly connect a lot of data

You might come into situations, where you will need to manage a lot of data at the same time. In order to help you, we added some neat features into our Programmatic Wizards:

7.7.8.3.3 How to quickly assign many Programmatic Advertisers & Prices to Salesforce

How to generate Media Campaigns from your Programmatic Data?

7.7.8.4 How to generate Media Campaigns from your Programmatic Revenue Data

Setup:

In order to use these features your users will require permissions, read and edit access to the following:

Custom Objects and Fields:

Lightning Components:

Tabs:

In order for your users to see the Programmatic Advertiser Wizard and Programmatic Price Wizard, you will need to give them access to the Lightning Tabs for both.

You can find this in the profile or permission set within the object settings. In the entries for both, you can configure if the tabs will be visible or not. If you don’t do this step, your users won’t be able to find the wizards in their App Launcher.

Additionally you can add the tabs to a Lightning App, this way, once a user opens the App, they will see both wizards on top in their navigation bar.
