4.19.1.1 How to update my Campaign, Order and Line Item status in a DSP from ADvendio?

Challenge:

Once Buying Campaigns, Buying Order and Buying Items are configured in ADvendio and submitted to the connected systems, there is a point where they need to be set to active, in order to start buying. Or a running item might needs to be paused, in order to do some adjustments to the bidding strategy.

How can the status be controlled from ADvendio?


Solution:

This can simply be controlled by the Status field, which you can find on Buying Campaigns, Orders and Items:

The status which is set in the field will be automatically set during the next submit to a connected system.

As the Buying Campaign is an optional element in ADvendio, if your connected system uses an own Campaign object (like Google Display & Video 360) the status on the ADvendio Buying Order will control both: campaign status and order status. If you want to control the status separately, make sure to create an own Buying Campaign in ADvendio with the correct information and link it to your relevant Buying Orders.

Be aware that items can only be active, if their respective Order or Campaign is also set to active. If you receive problems during the submit of Buying Items, please also check the status settings of the related Buying Order and Campaigns in ADvendio.

 


Setup:

There is no specific setting for the status update at the moment. As the status field is a picklist field, please make sure the correct values are available in your Org and for your users. You can do this by going to the field settings in the object manager of the Salesforce setup.
