8.10.1 SalesCloud - How to use Account Record Types
This article will guide you through syncing your Account record types and page layouts if you are using the Salesforce Sales Cloud
1. ADvendio Account Record Types:
Record Types deployed with ADvendio:
Account-Agency
A fiduciary relationship between two parties in which one (the 'agency') is under the control of the other (the 'advertiser'). The agency is authorized by the advertiser to perform certain acts, for and on behalf of the advertiser.
Account-Client
Better known as advertisers or customers who are buying products on their own or through an agency.
Account-Competitor
Any person or entity which is a rival against you. A company in the same industry or a similar industry which offers a similar product or service.
Account-Intermediary
A firm or person who acts as a mediator on a link between parties to a business deal, investment decision, negotiation, etc. Intermediaries usually specialize in specific areas. Also called a middleman.

2. Use Cases
2.1 Use only ADvendio Account record types
Assign the relevant Record types to the needed profiles and page layouts.
Note: Colleagues without an ADvendio license will still be able to work with Accounts and can assign ADvendio record type.
2.2 Use existing and ADvendio Account record types
It is possible to use both your previous record types as well as ADvendio record types in parallel. Assign the relevant record types to the needed profiles and page layouts.
2.3 Use only existing Account record types
Assign the relevant record types to the needed profiles and page layouts. As some ADvendio lookup filters (see above) are set by default to ADvendio types your users will be fine or alternatively can actively remove the filter as those are optional.
