Challenge

ADvendio offers multiple ways to automatically update your delivery and performance data for Campaign Items or Buying Items. These processes normally run once or twice a day, so there might be slight differences in the data shown, and the actual delivery status in the connected AdServer or DSP.

However, there might be certain cases, where you want the latest, up-to-date, data from your system, for example:

  • When you are trying to optimize live and running campaigns and want to be sure you got the latest numbers

  • When trying to create a performance report on the most recent data, to share it with your advertisers or agencies

  • To get the most recent information about your media spend, to compare the actual cost with your budget in media buying

  • If certain of your items might have incomplete or empty data and you need the relevant numbers to generate invoices

Additionally, to the scheduled reports, which automatically keep your Campaign Items or Buying Items in sync with the connected systems, ADvendio offers a quick and easy way, to really get the latest numbers.

On-Demand Delivery data for Campaign Items

For your regular Media Campaigns and Campaign Items, there is a specific button called ‘Get delivered clicks/impressions’. To use this, you will need to go to the related list of Campaign Items in your Media Campaign. To do this, you need to be able to mark the Campaign Items for which you need data, by clicking the checkbox next to the name. If you can’t see a checkbox, simply click ‘view all’ at your related list. This will open a new window, where you can see everything.

Depending on the settings in your ADvendio environment, the button ‘Get Delivered Clicks/Impressions’ might be located underneath the arrow symbol or is not visible at all. If you can’t see the button, try to contact your System Administrator for help, or see the setup section at the bottom.

Once you selected the desired Items and clicked the button, a new window will open. You will see a progress bar for the running process and once it’s finished, you will see the list of selected items and their respective delivery data. If an error occurred during the process you will also see it on the screen. In parallel a result email will be sent to you, containing the same information.

With these simple steps, you are able to update the delivery information of your Campaign Items. This sync includes the following data:

  • The lifetime delivery data, which is stored on the Campaign Item level

  • Delivery data grouped by month or day

  • site-based delivery data, which additionally groups the information by top-level domain.

Which of these additional information will be imported, depends on wether they have been activated in your ADvendio Org or not. You can find additional information in the wiki pages of the relevant features.
