Seamless Insertion Orders and Budget Types in Xandr

ADvendio offers you the possibility to create seamless insertion orders or legacy insertion orders in Xandr.

Seamless Insertion Orders are the best practice for creating insertion orders recommended by Xandr. Those orders offer advanced functionality by means of augmented line items, configured at AdType [Configure Ad Type Formats] for Xandr products



1. Activate Seamless Insertion Orders

  1. To activate the creation of seamless insertion orders from ADvendio, you need to configure it at your Adserver login (In the connection that is being used).





  2. Select the value "Seamless" in the picklist Adserver Features.
    Customers updating from an older version of ADvendio, need to create Seamless as a picklist value in setup first.

  3. As soon as seamless is selected, all Xandr Insertion Orders (Media Campaigns) will be created as seamless orders.

  4. To deselect this feature, simply set the picklist to the value none at your Adserver Login



Attention:

When you select seamless as feature for Xandr, all Media Campaigns/Insertion Orders will be pushed as seamless. You can only either use the standard IOs (legacy IO) or seamless IOs.

Not all line item types will work with Seamless Insertion Orders, please check which line items you use before activating the feature and test accordingly.

 

 

 

2. Insertion Order Budget Types (2.151.1 and up)

Starting with version 2.151.1, a new field has been added to ADvendio at the level of Media Campaign: Budget Type (ADvendio__BudgetType__c). That allows users to choose the desired budget type associated with their seamless Insertion Order:

  • none (default: Revenue)

  • Revenue

  • Flexible.

 

 

  • If the Budget Type is none, then the Media Campaign will be submitted as an Insertion Order with budget type Revenue.

  • If Budget Type Revenue is used at the Media Campaign level, then the Xandr Insertion Order will receive a lifetime revenue budget and all Augmented Line Items will use a revenue budget, not an impression / clicks budget. We set the Budget on the Insertion Order level to unlimited (one budget interval).

  • If Budget Type Flexible is used at the Media Campaign level, then the Xandr Insertion Order will be restricted to a single budget interval, and no budget can be set on the IO level. Once configured, the user may associate both revenue and impression-based Line Items to the same Insertion Order.

3. Setup:

  • You may need to add to the Media Campaign Page Layout the Budget Type field (ADvendio__BudgetType__c)

  • Double-check if the Budget Type field is available to the relevant users

  • Double-check if the picklist field values exist in the Budget Type field. For that, access from Org Settings Picklist Value Sets and adjust accordingly Budget Type global value set:

    • Revenue (Value and API Name)

    • Flexible (Value and API Name)
