Salesforce New Workflow Rules Deprecation Soon

What will be changed?

Salesforce announced deprecation for creation of new Workflow Rules and Process Builder. Salesfores is moving to Flow instead. Previously created Workflow Rules and Process Builder will still be functioning.

Please Note: for a smooth transition, Salesforce is also providing Migrate to Flow Tool (in Beta mode)

Why this change is taking place?

Salesforce Platform currently has several tools that contain an overlapping set of automation functionality: Workflow Rules, Process Builder, and Flow.

This is the reason priority will be given to Flow. By promoting Flow, Salesforce will offer customers a more robust and sustainable automation system with new features.

When is the deadline?

The ability to create new Workflow Rules and processes was turned off.

  • There are significant advantages in converting to Flow and ADvendio is planning to do this transaction soon.

  • ADvendio previously created Workflow Rules still be working and there is no set date yet when they will stop working.

  • ADvendio will provide further detailed information directly to the customers once the transition to Flow is done.

What actions do you need to take?

  • Salesforce recommends its customers start building new custom automation in Flow.

  • And to learn Flow with Trailhead.

  • Salesforce created an internal project team to help customers start the Flow journey.
