ADvendio Preview Version 2.167 - Spring 2023

At ADvendio, we are constantly working to improve our software to make your experience even better. To help you stay up-to-date and not miss out on any new features, we've created a page where you can check out the latest updates and releases. We recommend checkin this page regularly if you want to use the newest features and keep your system running smoothly.

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance ADvendio, this also means certain features will be removed or replaced, please review our Deprecation Schedule periodically to see if any upcoming changes that may affect your usage of ADvendio, ensuring you stay up to date with the latest developments.

 

 

Please be aware the naming of ADvendio modules has changed: AMS are now called Campaigns, Connect is called Connections.

Attention: Upcoming Changes to License Module

We are implementing changes to our License Module and kindly request all customers to upgrade to one of the listed versions before June 30th, 2023.

Please be aware that if you are currently using version between 2.162 and 2.165, you will need to promptly update your ADvendio software. Details and instructions can be found on the License Module: ADvendio Version Upgrade Required page.

Campaign Builder

New Feature

We have enabled following new features for Campaign Builder:

We have implemented following features for Commitments in Campaign Builder:

  1. Applied Commitments in the Campaign Builder in two modes: "Basic" and "Advanced"

  2. Made an update when existing conditions to be cleared and replaced with the correct ones

  3. Providing support for the old data structure of Commitments to ensure compatibility

 

Improvements

We have following improvements in Campaign Builder:

  1. Users can now select Publication Dates in the Campaign Builder and check the availability and contending items on each date of their item to sell at the same time. Please take note that this refers to the old Availability Check logic and not the Inventory Forecast

  2. The targeting options and Targeting Sets Wizard have been updated to support the required AdServer types

  3. We improved the Campaign Builder by allowing the Save button to include the Next navigation in a flow

 

Changes and optimisation

We have fixed the following issues and errors in our Campaign Builder:

  1. An error was shown when selecting a date in the Until field while using the Calendar range (From - Until)

  2. An error that occurred when trying to delete a Key Value from the targeting pill in Campaign Builder

  3. A Calendar Range issue which was blocking the "From" date adjustment in Campaign Builder

  4. Showing custom fields with the red required mark although they were not set as required.

  5. Making multi-picklist fields and other fields read-only.

  6. Fixing the copy value feature for small screens (when having too many tabs and hiding actions at first sight)

  7. We have fixed the issue of picklists appearing very short in the Campaign Builder.

  8. We fixed an error where the calendar icon didn't work correctly

  9. There was an error when using Split by Publication dates

  10. The Availability Check showed an error instead of a warning for certain scenarios

  11. Tab rules were for some cases not evaluated correctly

  12. Fixed an issue where Publication Dates were not taken into account in Campaign Builder Availability for new items

Campaign Contact Wizard

Changes and optimisation

We have enabled the Contact Wizard to work with deactivated Contact roles.

Amount Calculation

Changes and optimisation

We have made the following changes for Amount Calculation:

  1. We fixed an issue where decimal places set for a sales price caused inconsistent calculations when working with linear and prorated packages with multiple components

  2. Fixed an issue where the Surcharge/Discount application for packages failed for one package component

Booking Calendar LWC

New Feature

We added new features to our Booking Calendar Lightning. These contain Event Dates which is an essential feature to block advertising inventory for special events or maintenance reasons. For other features we enhanced dependent filters and advanced Content filters.

Dynamic Pricing in Price Rules

Changes and optimisation

We enhanced the Price Rule for matching fields. Now every evaluated field was properly requested even if it's not loaded at the point of application.

Publication Dates

New Feature

We implemented a new feature for clients who work with Publication Dates. For some advertising products it is required to define Publication Dates for the Placement and not for the Site. For this specific case we enabled Placement based Publication Dates which allow an independent definition of Publication Dates for Placements.

Sales Assistant in Self Service

Improvement

We added enhancements to our Self Service components: Ad Price validities are taken into account now and the budget selection can also be switched to an input field instead of the slider.

Inventory & Rates Manager

Changes and optimisation

We solved the issue when no error message was shown for a custom required field 'Business Group' in the Inventory and Rates Manager.

Media Configuration

Changes and optimisation

We have made the following improvements

  1. We have fixed an issue with Connection Id Ad Price assignments where Targeting values of a category were not hidden as expected in the search

  2. Fixed an issue where a RecordTypeId condition caused an error in Tab Setup/Rules in the Media Configuration and Optimizer

Media Search

Changes and optimisation

Fixed an issue in the Media Search where the QuickSearchFields setting broke the result list.

We have added the ability to select a "Rebate in kind" condition in the Media Search basket.

Campaign Item Revenue Split

Changes and optimisation

We have fixed the Forecast object formulas to avoid errors in reports when a division by 0 was performed.

Targeting Sets Wizard

Improvement

We have implemented validity for Targeting Sets/KeyValue Presets during its selection in the Campaign Builder and Media Configuration.

Visit Reports

Changes and optimisation

We have fixed an issue with distribution lists not working in "Visit Reports".

Google Ad Manager

Improvement

We have made following improvements for Google Ad Manager:

  1. We have implemented an improvement by adding a Targeting Sets section for Creative Targeting, enabling users to use predefined sets for all the Slot's components and ensure that the configuration entered is available on a Campaign Item after it's been submitted to Google AdManager.

  2. We have implemented an improvement to enhance mapping for the Custom Creative Template Import from Google AdManager, allowing for more information to be set in the templates created for ADvendio and saving customers manual effort in enhancing these templates.

  3. We have implemented to use the new version v202302 of Google Ad Manager API, including necessary testing and possible adjustments.

 

Changes and optimisation

We have fixed the following issues in our Google Ad Manager:

  1. When the planned availability field remained empty when checking for GAM items with same-day availability

  2. When customers were not able to check the availability of CPM products within Media Campaigns that had a Commitment discount

  3. An issue for Inventory-checking between ADvendio and GAM, not working properly and the availability checker was returning higher values for some fields

  4. With extra asterisks(*) appearing in KeyValues imported from GAM

 

 

 

Media Buying

New Feature

We have launched our new Media Buying Beta version which helps our customers streamline their media buying process and increase their efficiency. Our Beta version provides basic features to manage media buying campaigns, including easy creation of buying orders and items, tracking of delivery data and performance metrics, budget monitoring, and invoicing based on budget amount.

 

 

 

Invoice cancelation

Improvement

We have enhanced a feature to cancel invoices and invoice items generated using the "Merge all" optimization process.

Invoice email dispatch

Improvement

We have implemented an additional validation check to ensure the correct attachment of the latest PDF ID to an email before sending it.

Pre-Invoice generation

Changes and optimisation

We have fixed an issue where an error occurred when initiating pre-invoice generation for a package with an invoice contact.

Optimizer

Improvement and Changes and optimisation

We have made the following improvements and optimizations to the Optimizer:

  1. We enhanced the feature to always copy delivery data records and quantities during optimization process, even when future call is enabled

  2. We have fixed an issue where canceling a Campaign Item through the Optimiser would set the start date to today date, triggering a validation rule error

New billing category

New Features

We have implemented new billing category “Budget” which enables you to send a quote on the budget and invoice on it or on the actual spend.

 

 

 

Enhanced Delivery Data

New Feature

We improved our enhanced delivery reports feature, now allowing you to get data on demand. This will help you to get up to date, reporting data whenever you need it or update Campaigns that have been optimized, to ensure full reporting data is available.

Lightning Flow Extension

New Feature

We updated our Lightning Flow Extension for ADvendio for a new feature set to help with Programmatic Guaranteed Deals! A new Account relation and flow will help you to set up in ADvendio, which Programmatic Buyers are responsible for certain advertisers. This can be used in the creation of Media Campaigns, to dynamically select the right Programmatic Buyer for your Deal. And install your ADvendio Lightning Flows Extension.

Programmatic Media Campaign Generation

Improvement

We have made improvements to the automatic Programmatic Media Campaign Generation process to include generating campaigns for both the current and previous month during the first days of each month.

Submit to AdServer

Changes and optimisation

We resolved an issue where the creation of External Account IDs failed when Salesforce accounts had a name exceeding 80 characters due to the limit of Connection ID Name.

Media Integration API

New Feature

We did various improvements to our Media Integration API and the general architecture of our Gateway containing:

  1. We have added support for the features Update Status in AdServer and Enhanced Delivery Data

  2. We updated our technical API documentation for Programmatic Reporting

  3. We changed AdServer-specific logic and separated libraries for each AdServer (Broadsign, Facebook, Triton, and Xandr) as part of the Gateway INTEGRATION project

  4. We have solved the issue of losing timezone data in date-time objects when transforming Media Integration API requests to JSON

AdButler

Changes and optimisation

We improved the handling of start and ending times in our Check Availability feature for AdButler to ensure the most precise results

Broadsign

New Features and Improvements

We made following updates for Broadsign integration:

  1. A new feature has been implemented that enhances the Broadsign integration to support status updates in order to hold and book your Broadsign Proposals

  2. We prepared a limited version of an availability check for Broadsign.

  3. Technical rework to ensure our Broadsign Integration works smoothly with our Media Integration API architecture.

Google Campaign Manager 360

New Feature and Changes and optimisation

We now support the submit of Orders and Items in our Google Campaign Manager 360 integration. Customers can use this brand new Media Buying feature to plan media campaign and ad spend and create directly new campaigns in GCM and use our automatic reporting features to track remaining budget, performance and media cost. This all could be performed in one platform.

Facebook

Tasks and Improvements

We updated the version of the Marketing API we’re using for our Facebook integration, so now it is using the most up to date version Marketing API v16

Freewheel

Changes and optimisation

We have fixed an issue (error 422) with FreeWheel advanced targeting when submitting to AdServer due to a mismatch in the number of "sets" and "relations".

Triton

Improvement

We have fixed the issue of missing data for the last day in Triton Delivery Reports to ensure accurate and matching numbers between ADvendio and Triton in all cases.

Xandr

Changes and optimisation, Sub-task, Improvement

We have fixed the following issues for Xandr:

  1. The issue with booked impressions not matching between ADvendio and Xandr

  2. We came up with a solution that keeps the original start date of a Insertion Order in Xandr intact when we change the start date of a Campaign Item, even after the Media Campaign has already started, this way we prevent problems when doing certain optimizations to your Xandr campaigns from ADvendio.

Adswizz

Improvement

Our Adswizz Integration now is also supported by our Audience Segment targeting features. Meaning you can now configure your Adswizz Campaigns with additional targeting based on Adswizz Audience data or Publisher and Advertiser data and include these when submitting from ADvendio to Adswizz.
