Challenge

How can users achieve the ability to set up Ad Hoc packages in real time when configuring their Media Campaigns?

Solution

We added the Ad Hoc Packages feature to the Campaign Builder, allowing users to include campaign items during the Media Campaign set-up.

Customers using the new Setup UI for Campaign Builder should include the "Adhoc Packages" field in one of the tabs under "Tabs and Columns." This is a custom field specifically for Campaign Builder.

When a package field is set, a small package icon (in the form of shipment) is displayed in front of the corresponding package component row. This makes it easier to identify Ad Hoc Packages.

Please be aware that there is another field named "Packages" that also uses a picklist but does not permit the addition of an own name; it only provides predefined options and only the pick list is available.

How to Access Ad Hoc Packages in the Campaign Builder

To access Ad Hoc Packages in the Campaign Builder, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the main menu and select Media Campaigns.

  2. Choose the campaign you want to work on.

  3. You can add Campaign Items

    1. To the Media Basket by searching for them through Media Search and then clicking on the "Start Campaign Builder" button.

    2. Alternatively, you can click on the "Add Items" button in the Related List and then click on "Start Campaign Builder".

  4. Go to the Pricing tab in the Campaign Builder view. Choose your options from the drop-down menu and click Save.

Adding the "Package" field to the Item Configuration

The configuration involves adding the "Package" field to Item Configuration. This will allow you to select values from the ADvendio Package picklist field or enter custom names. Once added, the field will be accessible in the Campaign Builder's Pricing tab. It will also enhance the user experience by displaying package icons, which will make it easier to identify Ad Hoc Packages.

Enabling Ad Hoc Packages in Campaign Builder

Ensure the administrator has added the "Package" field to the Campaign Builder setup.

With the new Setup UI for Campaign Builder, locate the "Adhoc Packages" field and include it in one of the tabs under "Tabs and Columns." A custom field specifically implemented for Campaign Builder:
