10.3 How can I set up my Media Plans?

Challenge
As a Media Planner I would like to set up my Media Plan to send it to the client for approval. After approval I want to share the plan with my colleagues so that they can take them further.
Solution
With ADvendio you can set up your Media Plans with their details, send them to internal and client approval, get visual overviews of your planned budgets per channel and create concrete Media Campaigns for them.
Setting up a Briefing record
You can save Briefings from clients calls or meetings in your system which were done to clarify details about the Media Plan. These Briefings can be linked to your Media Plan to make sure all information is shared and linked.
You can open them from App Launcher > Briefings or with the Sales Flow from the Account.
Setting up Media Plans
You can choose two ways to create a Media Plan.
You can go to the clients Account page for whom you’d like to create the Media Plan. From here you can access the “Sales Flow” action to start a guided process. After filling in all relevant details you can hit Next to finish the creation of the Media Plan.
You can also set up a Media Plan by going to the App Launcher and looking for “Media Plans”. You can open the Media Plan object and hit the “New” action to start filling in the details of your Media Plan. Hit Save.
Fill Plan Details
Now that you have created the Media Plan you have the basis to continue setting up the plan for this client. Navigate from your Media Plan to the “Related” tab of the page to start filling in your Plan Details. These are the concrete budgets per channel and timeframe that should be spent.
Hit “New” to start creating your first position for this Media Plan. Fill in a name, timeframe, budget, stage and Media Type/Channel for this position.
Hit Save & New and repeat the process until all the positions you would like to include in this Media Plan were added.
Now you can work with approval processes to make sure that the finalized Media Plan gets internally and externally approved. For this simply use the “Submit for approval” action on your Media Plan which will start the dedicated Approval process.
OmniBudget Overview
After you create your plan you can check OmniBudget overview report to analyse your budget and impressions according to the plan details throughout the year.
Ps: Do not forget to use refresh button on the right hand side after you update media plans.
Create Detailed Offers/Media Campaigns
Once your Media Plan got approved the process needs to continue with more detailed plans. For this you can continue using the Sales Flow with the “Detailed Offer” option. Here you can fill in all details for the Media Campaign to be created and hit Next. This will create your Media Campaign.
Continue from here with the standard Campaign Item and Buying Order creation.
Setup
To set this feature up please consider the following:
Activate the “Sales Flow” flow provided by ADvendio and create a new Action on the Media Plan object to open this Flow. Once created, add the action to the Account layout.
You can add custom fields to each object. Feel free to add them to Media Plan and Plan Detail objects.
