10.1.7 Buying Campaign Creation

10.1.7 Buying Campaign Creation

Buying Campaigns are optional. Users can continue to work with only Buying Orders and Buying Items.

This article details the enhancements to the DV360 integration within ADvendio, focusing on simplifying the creation and linking of Buying Campaigns during the Buying Order creation process.

Buying Campaign Creation

Google DV360 utilizes a hierarchical structure of Campaigns, Orders, and Items (represented as Buying Campaigns, Buying Orders, and Buying Items in ADvendio). Previously, Buying Campaigns served primarily as placeholders. Users can now directly create and submit Buying Campaigns to DV360, establishing a clear structure of one Buying Campaign to many Buying Orders to many Buying Items.

  • Direct Buying Campaign Creation and Submission:

    • Users can now create and submit Buying Campaigns directly from ADvendio, mirroring the full functionality available in DV360.

    • This enables users to define long-term goals and budgets at the campaign level.

  • Expanded Buying Campaign Configuration:

    • The Buying Campaign object now includes essential fields for comprehensive campaign setup:

      • Campaign Goal: A picklist menu with options like "Raise awareness," "Drive online action or visits," "Drive offline or in-store sales," and "Drive app installs or engagements."

      • Frequency Cap: Defaults to "No limit."

      • Inventory Source: Defaults to "Authorized Direct Sellers And Resellers" for Quality, with other settings inherited or set to default values.

      • Campaigns Exceeding 80 characters: The default name field for Campaigns is limited to 80 characters. In case longer names are needed, you can use a dedicated field ADvendio__BuyingCampaignExtendedName__c to paste in the full name, which will be pushed to the External Platform.

  • Automatic Campaign ID Population:

    • Upon successful submission to DV360, the Campaign ID will be automatically populated in both the Buying Campaign and associated Buying Orders.

Integrated "Create Buying Campaign" Option

This feature further refines the user experience by integrating the "Create Buying Campaign" functionality directly within the Buying Campaign search field. This provides a more intuitive and efficient workflow for users setting up DV360 campaigns.

  • The "Create Buying Campaign" option is now seamlessly integrated into the Buying Campaign search field within the Buying Order creation modal.

  • This eliminates the need for a separate link, making it easier for users to create new campaigns on the fly.

Simplified Buying Campaign Linking:

  • Users can still search for and select existing Buying Campaigns directly from the search field.

    • If no suitable campaign is found, the "+" button within the search field allows for immediate creation of a new Buying Campaign.

Consistent Advertiser Handling

  • As before, the Advertiser field remains a key component, ensuring consistency between Buying Campaigns and Buying Orders.

    • The advertiser lookup field is still located in the "Choose source" modal.

  • Improved User Interface:

    • The user interface is refined to provide a cleaner and more efficient workflow.
