10.1.8 How to select your Media Buying Targeting on Campaign Items?

10.1.8 How to select your Media Buying Targeting on Campaign Items?

What’s New?

You can now define targeting criteria directly within the Campaign Builder for your Media Buying Campaign Items in ADvendio. This enhancement makes it easier to set up your campaign strategy in one place — helping you move faster, reduce manual steps, and improve targeting accuracy when pushing campaigns to platforms like DV360, Xandr, or Facebook

Use Case

ADvendio customers can plan and execute media buying campaigns end to end. This enhancement helps automate and unify how audience, geo, and device targeting is applied within Campaign Items – reducing manual effort and increasing data consistency when pushing to platforms like DV360, Xandr, or Facebook.

When defining a Media Buying Campaign Item in ADvendio, you can now add targeting directly within the Campaign Builder. These targeting selections will then be automatically copied to all Buying Items created for that Campaign Item.

How It Works

  1. Go to your Campaign Builder and create or edit a Media Buying Campaign Item.

  2. In the Targeting section, select the desired criteria (e.g., geo, audience segments, devices, frequency capping)

  3. Save your Campaign Item.

  4. When you create your Buying Items, the targeting selections from the Campaign Item will automatically carry over.

Automation Guidelines:

In order to automate your processes around Media Buying Targeting, you can take different factors into consideration:

Limitations

The following logic fill not apply to all targeting options and inventory set ups in ADvendio, please consider the following limitations:

  • You can only set Targeting Criteria dedicated for Buying Items, Buying Order Targeting is not covered on the Campaign Item

  • It will be required, that Campaign Items target one specific Media Buying Platform at a time. For this the related Ad Type needs to have the Connection you want to use linkedelse no targeting is shown in Campaign Builder

  • Targeting is saved in the AdServerTargeting field on the Campaign Item, there it will be automatically passed down to Buying Items, if you create them via our UI Process.

  • Optimizations and changes are currently NOT automatically applied from Campaign Items to linked Buying Items → Any change of selected Targeting on Campaign Item, will only affect newly created Buying Items

  • Users are still able to change targeting on individual Buying Items if they have access to the ADvendio Buying Components
