1.1. Overview
You can now precisely target your Facebook campaigns using Zip Code-based location targeting in ADvendio. This feature gives advertisers a way to deliver highly localized messaging, ensuring your ads reach the right neighborhoods, cities, or regions.
1.2. What’s New?
Use the new Ad Postal Codes field at the Buying Item level.
Paste in postal codes formatted as
CountryCode:PostalCode.Submit Buying Orders to Facebook with these location details included.
Only the inclusion of zip codes is supported (no exclusions yet).
Added support for Facebook ZIP code targeting in Targeting Sets via the new
AdPostalCodesfield, now editable in the Targeting Sets Wizard.
1.3. Why This Matters
Location-based targeting helps you:
Run hyper-local campaigns for regional promotions or stores.
Reach customers in high-conversion areas.
Customize your messaging by region (e.g., seasonal relevance, store proximity).
1.4. Supported Format
When entering zip codes:
Use the format:
CountryCode:PostalCode
You can specify one postal code per line, as shown in the following example:
US:94107
GB:AB10
IE:D6W
NL:5643
PT:45601.5. How to Use It
1.5.1. Buying Configuration
Make sure that the “Ad Postal Codes (Long Text Area)“ field is added to the Facebook Buying Configuration:
Click on the nine-dots menu in the top left corner of ADvendio and type “Buying Configuration“
Create or edit an already existing (active) Facebook Buying Configuration, and ensure that the
“Ad Postal Codes (Long Text Area)“ field is added to the Buying Item Fields list, as shown in the screenshot below.
1.5.2. Add Postal Codes
Navigate to your Facebook Buying Item in ADvendio.
Locate the field labeled “Ad Postal Codes”.
Paste or type in your list of Postal Codes — one keyword per line, no comma or semicolon needed.
1.5.3. Submit as Usual
Once your Buying Item includes the desired number of postal codes, proceed with your Buying Order submission to Facebook as normal.
Notes & Limitations
Only valid postal codes will be accepted by Facebook’s API.
There is no automated check for invalid zip codes — submission may fail if incorrect.
If you're unsure of the correct format, use Facebook UI as a reference or consult the ADvendio support team.
Facebook ZIP code targeting is now available in Targeting Sets through the new
AdPostalCodesfield, with full editing support in the Targeting Sets Wizard.
