1.1. Overview
As part of our ongoing enhancements to the ADvendio platform, we’ve introduced support for Facebook campaign spending limits. Users can now define a spending cap directly within a Facebook Buying Order, mirroring functionality available in Meta Ads Manager, without requiring additional layout elements like checkboxes.
This feature provides users with greater flexibility and control over campaign budgets managed through ADvendio.
1.2. What’s New?
Facebook Ads allows advertisers to define campaign-level spending limits. This feature brings the same control to ADvendio’s Buying Orders for Facebook by adding a new field called Order Spending Limit.
1.3. How It Works
New Field: Order Spending Limit
Location: Facebook Buying Order (via Facebook Buying Configuration)
Type: Numeric (must be ≥ 100)
Functionality:
Number ≥ 100: Activates a spending limit for the campaign in Facebook Ads.
Empty (null): No cap is applied; spending limit remains inactive.
Field Logic: No checkbox is used. Entering a value activates the feature; removing the value deactivates it.
1.4. How to Use It
1.4.1. Creating a Buying Order With a Spending Limit:
Go to the Facebook Buying Order in ADvendio.
Ensure the Order Goal is compatible with spending caps (e.g., Awareness).
Enter a value (e.g., 500) in the Order Spending Limit field.
Ensure the “Set Budget Order Level” checkbox is unchecked
Submit the order.
ADvendio passes the limit to Facebook, enforcing the cap.
Updating or Removing the Limit:
To change the limit, enter a new value and resubmit. To remove the limit, clear the field (set it to null) and resubmit.
Once your Buying Item includes the Frequency Capping settings, proceed with your Buying Order submission to Facebook as normal.
Notes & Limitations
This feature is not compatible with the Lifetime budget feature, which is activated when the Budget is set at the order level.
For this reason, make sure that the “Set Budget Order Level” is unchecked to set an Order Spending Limit, or else it will fail.
