3.1.5.5 Ad Type (FreeWheel)

You can use the Inventory and Rate Manager to create your Ad Types. When creating AdTypes for FreeWheel make sure to fill the following fields:

Sets the override mode for the placement. Read 3.1.5.5.1 Priority / Placement Override Settings for more information.

5Adtype

Options to choose from to match your budget model:

  • Impression Target
  • SOV % - custom
  • POD% - custom
  • All impression sponsorship
  • Evergreen
6Goal Percent 

This percentage value is fed into the Share of Voice/PODs field in FreeWheel. Should be used for

  •  SOV % - custom and POD% - custom

7Delivery Type

Sets the delivery priority for your Impression Target Placements. Can be set to:

  • Guaranteed 
  • Preemptible

If you want to use another Delivery Type for a certain Campaign Item there is also a field Delivery Type on the Campaign Item, which you can manually set to overwrite the Delivery Type of the Ad Type.    

8Delivery Rate Type

Sets the pacing of your placements. Can be set to:

  • FastAs
  • SmoothAs

If you want to use another Delivery Rate Type for a certain Campaign Item there is also a field Delivery Rate Type on the Campaign Item, which you can manually set to overwrite the Delivery Rate Type of the Ad Type.    


The pacing is set using the Campaign item delivery rate type (ADvendio_CampaignItem.DeliveryRateType__c). Frequency capping done the same as for all other AdServers. 

Please take a look to this table to check the setup of your Ad Types for FreeWheel (From version 2.102 and up we set the default values to avoid error messages.).
