4.3.4.2 Browser, Device, and Connection Targeting

Version

2.82 and up

Supported Adservers

Google AdManager, Xandr, Freewheel, Equativ, Adswizz, Triton

With an ad server integration supporting browser targeting, you are able to select the users you wish to target by their browsers and operating systems.

Starting with Version 2.82 we support Device and Connection Targeting which is based on AdServer IDs. Please 3.5.5.2 Import Geo- and Technical Targeting Data and migrate from the old targeting. If you don't see this ask your ADvendio and Salesforce administrator to 7.2.2.1.1 Configure Geo, Connection and Device Tab.

1. Browser and Device Targeting

1.1 Standard Device Targeting

Version

2.94 and up

Supported Adservers

Google AdManager, Xandr, Freewheel, Equativ, Adswizz

Click on the Edit button under Device to open the targeting tree:

Navigate through the tree and mark the devices you like to target and hit save. Alternatively, you can search for any device using the search tab.

Attention Xandr Customers

Our current device targeting also offers the selection of device manufacturers. This is not possible in Xandr. When trying to submit a device manufacturer as targeting to Xandr, you will receive the following warning. "SELECTED ID is from type TYPE_DEVICE_MANUFACTURER" The Submit still works, but the selected device manufacturer is not transferred.

1.2 Simple Device and Supply Type Targeting

Version

2.114 and up

Supported Adservers

Xandr, Adswizz

Xandr and Adswizz allow the user to simply target just a view option (Please, see the screenshots from the AdServer UI below.)

By importing the 3.5.5.2 Import Geo- and Technical Targeting Data ADvendio will add those options to the targeting tree: ID Category = "Devices", Type = "Device Type". The additionally imported Device Category DESKTOP, DIGITAL, MOBILE and OTHER from Adswizz will also be available. The selectable options are shown on all ADvendio PDF documents and will be used while booking and forecasting.

Xandr

Adswizz

As ADvendio offers the possibility to either include or exclude, you can use this full flexibility to be transferred to the AdServer.

This means, if you want to target only Desktop and Tablet Devices, you can either select the + symbol on Desktop and Tablet, or simply click the - symbol on Phones. Both will have the same result in the AdServer.
