4.16.8.6 Use Case: Scaled Discounts with Shared Revenue

The record type "Shared Revenue" sums up the total revenue of all linked conditions and makes sure that they are all linked to each other. Therefore for most scaled discounts it makes sense to add a shared revenue record.

See here an example of a Shared Revenue Scale Condition with it's related list of included conditions.

This Commitment has a share revenue condition for Gamesite.com sales. It includes two conditions each for the full banner and two for the leaderboard. Up to the revenue goal of 99.999 € a certain discount is granted and when over this threshold, another discount will be applied.

Example of one sub-condition linking to the Shared Revenue record you see above.

The total revenue applied will be added up in the first condition record until the 99.999 € revenue goal is reached. The total revenue applied for the second condition will still be 0 € until you have reached your 100.000 € revenue goal. After you have passed the total revenue goal the revenue of all matching items will be counted in total revenue applied.
