When your inventory is not clearly defined and unique, it may be necessary to block some inventory if others have already been sold. This could be due to

  1. physical reasons, such as overlapping inventory items,

  2. political reasons, where certain slots will not sell if others have already been taken.

For example, if you have the option to sell a page in your periodical as either two half pages or one whole page, selling one or the other to a customer would limit your available offers.

Related List for Blocked Placements/AdType/AdSpecs

First, your the administrator has to must add the related lists to the respective object: i.e. . For example, add Blocked Placements to your Placement Layout.

  1. Navigate to the app and select either "Blocked Placements," "Blocked AdTypes," "Blocked AdSpecs," or "Blocked Content."

  2. In the new window, add the following details:

    • Master Placements/AdSpec/AdTypes/Content

    • Blocked Placements/AdSpec/AdTypes/Content

In the "Booked Inventory" section, when viewing you see Contending Items highlighted in red, you'll encounter the following statuseskeep these statuses in mind:

When two half pages are reserved, they collectively block one full page with a blocking factor of 0.5.

When you check In the booking calendar, not only will the product you've booked appear your booked product be labelled as "BOOKED," but the BLOCKED product (half page) that is blocked will also show appear as "BOOKED." In the The details section , you'll find will provide information about the Contending Campaign, which is the product booking of the product. A product Products blocked by the Blocking feature will have a red background in the Contending partsection, while direct blocking will show a white background behind the Contending items.

In the booked inventory Section in the new window, you will see under Contending Items highlighted in red: under Campaign Item you see

BOOKED - your Media Campaign Booked where your half page is blocked

Afterview in the booking calendar shows the following

not only the product you have booked is showing as booked but also the product (half page)which is blocked will be showing as booked.

In the details you will see the Contending Campaign which is the booking of the product. Producyt which is blocked by the Blocking while shows a red background in the Contending part.

Whilre it shows a directly blocked items will have a white background behind the Contending items when it is a direct Blocking.

If Constant Quantity=Frequency or Constant Quantity=Guaranteed AI: System does not round - If the Constant Quantity is either Frequency or Guaranteed AI, the system will not round the value.

Overbooking

Only In the booking calendar, only the blocked Ad Spec/AdPrice (as one line in the booking calendar) will show them as overwill be marked as over-booked and no negative value should be inherited , and there shouldn't be any negative values carried over to the next level.
