Inventory Forecast Service does not correctly calculate availabilities for runtime related items

We fixed an issue in our Inventory Forecast logic where weekly products were not properly forecasted for weekly/monthly products. To solve this this we created as a patch solution 2 new feature settings that can be used to work with the changed logic. These feature settings will define org wide the week and month starting day. Version 2.171 will allow the management of this on a product level.
After installing patch 2.169.21 or patch 2.170.X (to be defined) please create the Feature setting with the following values (without quotes):
For weeks:
Feature Setting Name: “Starting Day for Availability - Weekly”
Feature Name: “Inventory Forecast”
Value: “3” → This is a number defines the week starting day in a number that can differ between 1 and 7. 1 is Monday and 3 would be Wednesday.
For months:
Feature Setting Name: “Starting Day for Availability - Monthly”
Feature Name: “Inventory Forecast”
Value: “1” → This is a number defines the month starting day in a number that can differ between 1 and 31. 1 is 1st of a month.
