Challenge:
Billing Categories are a vital part of ADvendio Campaign Planning, they determine how you bill your positions and which pricing is used (e.g. per 1000 impressions via CPM)
This information is also sent to integrated systems if you are pushing Campaign Items via our Submit to AdServer Feature. Which information is sent for which Billing Category in ADvendio?

Breaking Change ADvendio Summer 2024 Release (2.171)
What is changing:
In the past, ADvendio has used not the Billing Category information of the Campaign Item, but of the Ad Price, to decide which billing category to send to a Third Party System.
Starting the 2.171 version, we will change this behavior and instead take the Billing Category information directly from the Campaign Item record.

As of right now, the option to go back to the old logic is a temporary solution. We plan to deactivate it by March 2025 Release. Please contact our Support Team or your Technical Account Manager, if this will cause problems on your end, so they can forward it to our product team. |
Setup:
There is no specific setup required. If you have trouble seeing individual Billing Categories in ADvendio, check the object setup and how the picklist fields are configured.
