Commitments are financial agreements made between you companies and your their publishers, customers, or their agencies that are tracked in ADvendio. These agreements can be usually made on a yearly, quarterly, or monthly basis , and typically and can be tracked in ADvendio. They help manage planned advertising spending to achieve certain discounts or value-add offers.
Scaled discounts can be set up based on the amount spent by a publisher/agency in a year. Additionally, commitments can store agreements made with agencies about commission earnings or third-party commissions for intermediaries.

, with ADvendio calculating actual revenue figures throughout the year to ensure that commitments are being met.
Commitments are typically agreed to at the beginning of the year or even earlier at the end of the preceding year.
There are two types of commitment: Basic and Advanced commitments that can be switched on and off through feature settings.
Basic commitment:
With the Basic Commitment, you can apply only one commitment per type (Advertiser/Agency Discount, Agency Earning and Third Party Commission) that can match a Media Campaign and only one commitment condition can apply to a line item.
Advance commitment:
With the Advanced Commitment features, you can apply multiple conditions to a single Campaign item. When Media Campaigns and Campaign Items move from one period to another, they may overlap multiple contracts. Therefore, Media Campaigns must be able to match all similar commitments with the same hierarchy, and all applicable conditions must be proportionally applied to Campaign Items based on the time they are allowed in each commitment period.
You can see different Commitments types available in the Wiki Knowledge Base 4.16.8 Commitment Condition Use Cases and check Commitments Use Cases: Rebate in Kind, Scaled Discount, Special Discount, Agency Earning and Third Party Commission.
