Challenge

To streamline sales processes and allow Sales Reps and Order Managers to easily choose products for their Campaign Items. Certain pre-configurations need to be done to contain the right settings to send over to an external system like an AdServer.

Usually, those products are Ad Specs, it consists of the medium/site where an ad is running and the specific format (ad type).

The Ad Type will contain numerous technical and format settings, which will be sent automatically to an external system together with the Campaign Item in Triton.

How can these Ad Types be created? And which settings for Triton need to be done on Ad Type to make it work?

Solution

When creating Ad Types for Triton (Ad Type → New), make sure to fill in the information below, explaining which fields equal which settings in the AdServer.

1.- To create a new Triton Ad you go to the main menu, access “Ad Types” in Advendio, select “New”

2.- Under “New Ad Type “ select the TRITON option and press “Next”. You will see the fields below to be filled:

When creating Ad Types for Triton make sure to use the following fields mentioned in the table below. See which fields equal which settings in the AdServer.

Can configure the timing in which the goal should be reach or how the daily delivery will be handled.

Goal Percent

Enter the percentage of total impressions in your network which you like to use for the Sponsorship or House AdTypes

If the field is left empty Advendio will push 100% if AdType is of type sponsorship

When you have selected the necessary fields for AdButler Ad, don't forget to press Save.

Ad Types: example


Setup

The System Administrator might need to add certain fields to the page layout of the Ad Type to make sure they are available for the users. The Admin might also need to add new values to existing picklist fields in order to match the ones mentioned above if they are missing.
