ADvendio is offering your business to run The Trade Desk Integration in ADvendio in order to:

  • Plan campaigns, manage budgets, sell your own inventory and manage media buying activities

  • Keep the data in synchronization

  • Maximize the efficiency of your internal processes

  • Streamline the configuration of your media buying activities on The Trade Desk platform to save time and effort

Solution

How do you set up the connection to The Trade Desk in ADvendio?

In order to start using the ADvendio The Trade Desk Integration, you will need to set up a new record of type “The Trade Desk”. Please, follow the steps below:

  • In the main ADvendio menu type “AdServer Interface”

  • Click on the “Connections“ tab

  • Create a new connection record by selecting the option “New”

  • Select “THETRADEDESK” as a new record type

  • A window “New connection: THETRADEDESK” will open, enter data in the field “User Name” (mandatory) and fill in all the rest information (if necessary), and press Save. It will create a new connection.

Possible field values and explanation when creating The Trade Desk connection:

Record Type: THETRADEDESK

“THETRADEDESK” record type is shown by default as it’s been previously selected in the set up process

The Network ID relevant to this Login

Active

You should check this box to activate this Ad Server connection

Connection Features

Need to select Additional Features in use for this Connection.

Advertiser External ID

This info is used to push to DFP in the filed external ID

Additional User Name

You can enter an additional user name

Additional Password

Additional URL

Transfer in Profress box

You should tick this box if you need to automatically set while transferring from the external system to ADvendio

Description

You can enter additional text to describe the login record

Connection Jobs Information

Store the info about the jobs between the ADvendio and the Getaway in the JSON format

Specific Settings

Advertiser Group ID

Group ID to be used for an Advertiser being created in Ad Server

Price Calculation Field

Select the CampaignItem field to be used for the price/ rate for Ad Server or SSPs

Authentication against Third Party System (Check Login)

  • Open the new Connection record you just created

  • In the right upper corner Click “Generate AdServer OAuth Token” 

  • After your TTD username pops up, click Submit

  • Under “Generate Authorization Code you will see “Link to Ad Server”

  • Log into TTD, and accept the authentication as shown in the screenshot below

  • Copy the token authorization code and paste it into the ADvendio field

  • Allow users from ADvendio to push buying orders and items into TTD platform, so they can set up the basic planning required

  • Be able to update the available field information

  • Import mandatory information to successfully send a basic Campaign, report and generate invoicing
