Unit Count (Revenue Information)

Scheduled Apex Job

Please note that the revenue and unit count data is not shown immediately in the commitment conditions. An apex job has to be scheduled for the calculation and typically is running once a day. For further information ask your system administrator or read chapter 7.2.9 Setup Commitments.

Once you have created media campaigns which match the Commitment and Commitment Conditions ADvendio will calculate the actual revenue or unit count data for you. Do not manually edit these fields!  Package headers will be ignored as the package components will be counted towards the conditions. Read more about the handling of packages here: 4.16.6 Packages in Commitments (version 2.96.3 and higher).

Overview of calculated fields

FieldDescription
Total Unit countTotal amount of units of all campaign items which meet the relevant criteria of this rule.
Total Unit count appliedCounts all units for all campaign items where discounts with this condition were applied.
Total Revenue Total amount of revenue of all campaign items which meet the relevant criteria of this rule.
Total Revenue appliedTotal amount of revenue for all campaign items where discounts with this condition were applied.
Total Rebate in Kind units earnedFor Rebate in Kind only, shows you the total amount of 'free' units already earned with this condtion.
Rebate in Kind units availableShows you how many Rebate in Kind units are still available for the Advertiser/Agency to spend, considering the units earned by this condition and the unit count already spent

Differenz between Total Revenue vs. Total Revenue Applied

Here an example to explain what the "applied" field is for: If you set up a revenue goal 10.000 € and 20% discount then each matching campaign item would be counted towards the total revenue. But the total revenue applied will still be 0 € until you have reached your 10.000 € revenue goal. After you have passed the total revenue goal >10.000 €, the revenue of that matching item will be counted in total revenue applied.

Degree of Fulfillment

Starting with Version 2.87 we have added a field "Degree of Fulfillment" to the Commitment Condition. This you can add to your List views and reports to manage and monitor your commitments.

You will have this formula in every record and it is calculated the percentage. The maximum value is 100% which means if you overfulfill it will still be 100%.

  • For "ScaledDiscount":
    • Total Revenue divided by the amount you have entered in the Scaled Discount To field
  • For "RebateInKind" and "RebateInKindPercent":
    • Total Unit Count divided by the number of units you have entered in Base Quantity Rebate In Kind field
  • For "SpecialDiscount"
    • it can't be calculated and will always be ZERO.
  • For "Third Party Commission":
    • Total Revenue divided by the amount you have entered in the Revenue Goal field.

Warning

If you are using hierachical scaled discounts 4.16.7 Commitment Matching Criteria Hierarchy or packages where campaign items match two or more commitment conditions the total revenue will be calculated towards both commitment conditions. The same issue occurs if you have two similar conditions where one has made the package header matching relevant whereas the other doesn't. Both can then count towards your revenue count.

We recommend to avoid any of these "overlaps" when creating commitment.
