Structure of Programmatic Revenue Media Campaigns and Campaign Items
You might wonder how you identify the Programmatic Revenue Campaigns in between your regular Media Campaigns.
That’s fairly simple, because the Media Campaigns follow a specific format:
Year-Month Programmatic Revenue PLATFORM - Advertiser/Buyer
When you look at such a Media Campaign the following key information are set:
Advertiser = The Advertiser / Buyer from the SSP
SSP = the AdServer Login that represents the SSP / Exchange of which the data is coming
Quantity = The number of Impressions sold in that month
Amount net/net = The total revenue you made with that buyer, in that month via that SSP/Exchange
Based on your defined and mapped programmatic prices, Campaign Items are generated for the Media Campaign.
The Programmatic Media Campaign generation process for BURT is slightly modified. For more information, please visit the BURT wiki section: 7.7.12.3 Generate Media Campaigns from your Programmatic Data .
Compare long term performance of your products - using the ADvendio Pay Factor
Another great advantage of using our data enrichment, is that you can define a base price for your Programmatic Revenue Items via the mapped Programmatic Prices.
This is one example of how
How to generate Media Campaigns? - Manually via button
If you want to generate Media Campaigns there are two ways to do so. First one will be manually per SSP/Exchange.
You will need to go to the detail page of the AdServer Login and click the button “Create Programmatic Media Campaigns”.
Then you will be ask to set a date for the run. This decides which month to consider. You can use this to test the feature.
Once you click start, the process will run and you will receive an email when it’s finished.
Schedule automatic Media Campaign Generation
Of course you don’t want to go into each of your SSPs / Exchanges and click the Media Campaign Button to gather all your data. That’s why you can schedule the process to run at your desired intervals.
To do so, you will need to go to setup → apex classes
Click the button Schedule Apex:
Enter a name of your choice as job name, and select the following Apex Class:
ProgrammaticDataProcessController
Select a day and a time when the process should be done and click save to confirm your settings.
Now your Media Campaign generation will run automatically at your configured schedule.
The automatic Programmatic Media Campaign generation is configured in a way to always generate Media Campaigns for the past month, during the first 10 days of a cycle. We’re doing this to make sure all data that is running on the final days or changes to your data that happen a bit later, will be considered in the feature accordingly and not be missing in your Media Campaigns!
With the 11th of a month, Media Campaigns are generated for the current month!
Set your own custom information / fields
During the process ADvendio sets some fixed values for the generated Media Campaigns (see mapping list below), besides these you have to possibility to define how fields will be set. You can do this, to support the usage in other features or set your own criteria, to differentiate the programmatic revenue Campaigns from others.
