Version

From version 2.173

Context

  • The programmatic Guaranteed Deal feature allows configuring certain fields to create a Deal with all the required elements.

Creating a PG Deal

Before starting the deal creation

  1. Import via “Transfer to Advendio” the Programmatic Buyers

    1. Global Agency is displayed but not selectable at the moment

  2. Any additional Targeting needed to be able to select them later on in the Buying Campaign Targeting

    1. What import is supported by Freewheel

    2. More info about how to do this here 3.5.3.1 [Transfer to ADvendio] How to automate the sync of audiences and videos between ADvendio and external platforms?

Creating the Deal

An important structure fact to understand is that Freewheel Deals are only deals with no parents, for that reason Advendio’s Media Campaigns and Campaign Items as such won't be submitted to FW

1.- Create a Media Campaign

  • Before starting the process be sure to add the Field Programmatic Buyer if it is missing in your current layout

    • Check that the proper association with a Programmatic Buyer has been done

  • Create a new Media Campaign

  • The most important option for PG is to consider choosing the Adserver Order Type ‘Proposal’ to start creating a Deal in Freewheel

  • Buyers *

Buyers

(tick)

  • The limit of buyers allowed per Campaign Item is 100

  • By default, all of the Campaign Items will have assigned the programmatic Buyers selected at a Media Campaign level

    • When a CI has one or more buyers selected these will be the buyers assigned and NOT the one in the Media Campaign

      • If I have more CI in the same Media Campaign and they DONT have a Buyer as a targeting then they will preserve the Programmatic buyer from the Media Campaign

(tick)

  • Import needs to be done before being able to select them

IMPORTANT about Programmatic Buyers *

  • Programmatic Buyer at a Media Campaign level

    • Select a Programmatic Buyer if you want all of the Campaign Items to have assigned the programmatic Buyers selected at a Media Campaign level

    • If I have more CI in the same Media Campaign and they don’t have Buyers as targeting then they will preserve the Programmatic buyer from the Media Campaign

  • Programmatic Buyer at a Campaign Item Level

    • If you want individual Buyers to be selected on a Campaign Item level they need to be chosen as targeting on each item, and when a CI has one or more buyers selected these will be the buyers assigned and NOT the ones chosen as Programmatic Buyer in the Media Campaign

  • Now you are ready to submit and check the newly created/updated deal in Freewheel UI

  • Check availability can be performed

  • No labels
