Challenge
Your business is using AdButler as an AdServer and now you want to use the ADvendio integration, in order to manage your inventory more seamlessly and make use of the automatic delivery import features.
How do you set up the connection to AdButler in ADvendio?
Solution
In order to start using the ADvendio AdButler Integration, you will need to set up a connection in ADvendio. To do this simply go to the Connection object and create a new record.
Select the record type: AdButler
Next step there is a number of fields that needs to be filled, once this is done, you can click save and create the new connection.

To streamline sales processes and allow Sales Reps and Order Managers to easily choose products for their Campaign Items. Certain pre-configurations need to be done to contain the right settings to send over to an external system like an AdServer.
Usually, those products are Ad Specs, it consists of the medium/site where an ad is running and the specific format (ad type).
The Ad Type will contain numerous technical and format settings, which will be sent automatically to an external system together with the Campaign Item in Broadsign.
How can these Ad Types be created? And which settings for Broadsign need to be done on Ad Type to make it work?
Solution
When creating Ad Types for Broadsign make sure to fill in the information below, explaining which fields equal which settings in the AdServer.
To create a new Broadsign Ad you go to the main menu, access “Ad Types” in Advendio, select “New”, and under “New Ad Type “ select “Broadsign option and press “Next”. You will see fields below to be filled:
Which Broadsign Credentials are required?
In order to connect ADvendio to AdButler, the following credentials are required:

To get the API key for AdButlerBroadsign, you will need to log into your AdButler Broadsign network (https://admin.adbutler.com/) and navigate to Settings → API
Simply copy the relevant API Key, if there is no Key existing, you will need to create a new one.Please Note: AdButler offers also the creation of read-only API keys, in order to manage Ads from ADvendio, you will need permissions to also modify data! Otherwise, only Delivery Imports will be working.

Check your connection is working
Once you’re done, you can check in ADvendio, if the entered credentials are working. To do so, simply click the button ‘Check Login’ on your connection record. A new window will open, showing you if the authentication was successful.

Setup
There is no additional setup required.
If you can’t see the record type for AdButler, Broadsign please make sure that your user has the required permissions to that record type and all fields on the Connection (AdServer_Login) object.
