Challenge
To streamline sales processes and allow Sales Reps and Order Managers to easily choose products for their Campaign Items. Certain pre-configurations need to be done to contain the right settings to send over to an external system like an AdServer.
Usually, those products are Ad Specs, it consists of the medium/site where an ad is running and the specific format (ad type).
The Ad Type will contain numerous technical and format settings, which will be sent automatically to an external system together with the Campaign Item in Broadsign.
How can these Ad Types be created? And which settings for Broadsign need to be done on Ad Type to make it work?
Solution
When creating Ad Types for Broadsign make sure to fill in the information below, explaining which fields equal which settings in the AdServer.
To create a new Broadsign Ad you go to the main menu, access “Ad Types” in Advendio, select “New”, and under “New Ad Type “ select “Broadsign option and press “Next”. You will see fields below to be filled:
Which Broadsign Credentials are required?
In order to connect ADvendio to AdButler, the following credentials are required:

Simply copy the relevant API Key, if there is no Key existing, you will need to create a new one.
Check your connection is working
Once you’re done, you can check in ADvendio, if the entered credentials are working. To do so, simply click the button ‘Check Login’ on your connection record. A new window will open, showing you if the authentication was successful.
