Challenge
ADvendio is offering your business to run Pinterest Integration in ADvendio in order to:
Solution
Please find the steps on how to set up the Pinterest connection n in ADvendio.
In order to start using the Pinterest integration, you will need to set up a new record of type “Pinterest ”. Please, follow the steps below:
In the main ADvendio menu type “AdServer Interface”
Click on the “Connections“ tab
Create a new connection record by selecting the option “New”
Select “Pinterest ” as a new record type
A window “New connection: PINTEREST” will open, enter data in the field “User Name” (mandatory) and fill in all the rest information (if necessary), and press Save. It will create a new connection.
Open the new Connection record you just created
In the right upper corner Click “Generate AdServer OAuth Token”
After your PINTEREST username pops up, click Submit
Under “Generate Authorization Code you will see “Link to Ad Server”
Log into Pinterest, and accept the authentication as shown in the screenshot below
Copy the token authorization code and paste it into the ADvendio field
Possible field values and explanation when creating a Pinterest connection:
Field value | Description |

User name | Enter the user name you use to login to the Ad Serve |
Additional User Name | You can enter an additional user name |
Access Token | The access token authorisation code will be stored here |
Record Type: Pinterest | “Pinterest” record type is shown by default as it’s been previously selected in the set up process |
Active | You should check this box to activate the ad server connection |
Description | You can enter additional text to describe the login record |
Related Connection | You can use this field to connect with specific AdServers (in case of multiple connections) |
Data to import from Pinterest
Once the authentication token is obtained and the Pinterest Connection is established, as a next step we would strongly recommend using the Transfer to ADvendio feature to import Pinterest data into ADvendio for smooth media advertising and buying activities.
By using this feature you can select the information you want to import into ADvendio:
This can be implemented at a later stage but is recommended to perform sooner to have the access to all capacities of the feature.
