AD-8349 - Getting issue details... STATUS

Challenge

Users faced difficulty in adding their campaign items to Ad Hoc Packages directly from the Campaign Builder while configuring the Media Campaign, as the necessary field "Package" was not available in the Campaign Builder setup.

Solution

With. 2.169 release we implemented the Ad Hoc Packages feature in the Campaign Builder, providing users with a solution to include campaign items in Ad Hoc Packages during the Media Campaign setup.

Now with the introduction of the new Setup UI for campaign builder, customers should locate the "Adhoc Packages" field and include it in one of the tabs under "Tabs and Columns." This is a custom field specifically implemented for Campaign Builder.

With this Ad Hoc component, you will see a small package icon (in the form of shipment) in front of the package component rows with the package field set.

Please be aware that there is another field named "Packages" that also utilizes a picklist but does not permit the addition of custom names; it only provides predefined options.

Accessing Ad Hoc Packages in the Campaign Builder:

To access Ad Hoc Packages in the Campaign Builder, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the main menu and select Media Campaigns.

  2. Choose the campaign you want to work on.

  3. You can add Campaign Items

    1. to the Media Basket by searching for them through Media Search and then clicking on the "Start Campaign Builder" button.

    2. Alternatively, you can click on the "Add Items" button in the Related List and then click on "Start Campaign Builder".

  4. Go to the Pricing tab in the Campaign Builder view. Under Availability and Quantity, select the Package tab. Choose your options from the drop-down menu and click Save.

Enhanced User Interface

To improve the user experience, a small package icon is displayed in front of package component rows when the package field is set, making it easier to identify Ad Hoc Packages.

Setup

this is from this technical documentation here - /wiki/spaces/AD/pages/3508830217

The configuration involves adding the "package" field to Item Configuration, allowing users to select values from the ADvendio__Package_c picklist field or enter custom names, after adding, this field will be accessible in the Campaign Builder's pricing tab, enhancing the user experience with the display of package icons for easy identification of Ad Hoc Packages.

Enabling Ad Hoc Packages in Campaign Builder:

  1. Ensure the administrator has added the "Package" field to the Campaign Builder setup.

  2. During media campaign configuration, populate the "Package" field.

  3. Select from predefined picklist options or enter custom package names.

Now with the introduction of the new Setup UI for campaign builder, customers should locate the "Adhoc Packages" field and include it in one of the tabs under "Tabs and Columns." This is a custom field specifically implemented for Campaign Builder.

For the remaining steps of Campaign Builder set-up, refer to the Campaign Builder Structure setup at 7.2.23.1. For additional information, see section 3.6.4 on Ad Hoc Packages.

Conclusion

This implementation enhances the Campaign Builder's capabilities and provides users with a more efficient way to manage Ad Hoc Packages while configuring Media Campaigns.
