Note:

Inventory Criteria are essential for determining selected Screens for Broadsign. In the current ADvendio Integration, failing to select targeting criteria will result in ADvendio assigning random available Screens to your item.

Step 2: Create Ad Type

Define the formats and types of Ads for Broadsign by selecting through a variety of options from the drop-down menu starting with a "Standard" Ad Type. Refer to the guidance in this wiki article:

[Ad Type Formats Configuration] for Broadsign

If you do not assign Inventory Targeting on your Ad Spec, you can also select them directly on your Campaign Item, via Inventory Targeting features in the Media Config/Campaign Builder on a Campaign Item level.

Step 3: Create Ad Spec and Assign to Ad Type

Ad Specs represent products in ADvendio for media configuration for customers and sales reps to select available Ad Specs and Ad Types to create their campaign items. Consider the following methods for creating Ad Specs:

  1. Use the ‘Ad Specs & Rates Manager’ option from the App launcher

  2. Manual creation of Ad Spec from the App launcher

  3. Utilize the ‘Inventory & Rates Manager’ option from the App launcher

When creating an Ad Spec from the ‘Ad Specs & Rates Manager’ menu option in the App launcher:

  • Connect the Ad Spec to a relevant Site and Placement.

  • then choose a relevant Broadsign-created Ad Type.

  • Press ‘Create/Open Ad Spec.’

Step 4: Define Ad Pricing

Create an Ad Price for the Ad Spec: This represents which price per unit you want to sell the ad to your customer. Choose from Broadsign billing categories.

Create an Ad Price for your Ad Spec, indicating the price per unit for your customer sale. Choose from supported Broadsign Billing categories, such as fixed price, CPD, CPMo, and CPM.

The Price you’re using in ADvendio will also be sent to Broadsign which will use this information to prioritize bookings against each other.

Those that sell for a higher price will be more likely to deliver.

Step 5: Setting Inventory Targeting Rules

Inventory Targeting for Broadsign determines the Screens selected for your item. Consider the following:

  1. Define Targeting Criteria for your selection based on the criteria from your Broadsign Direct.

  2. Targeting Criteria will influence which screens will be selected for your booking. ℹ️ Currently, there is no way to select specific screens.

  3. If no criteria are selected during the initial booking process, random available screens will be selected. However, if push updates of existing items from ADvendio, the selected screens will not be updated. This means that any configuration you have already done will not be overwritten.

To update Targeting info, please access ‘Edit Adserver ID’ and make the necessary changes.
