Important ADvendio Security Update with Version 2.169: Booking Calendar, Connections and Invoice Emails

 

We want to notify you of a crucial security update concerning the ADvendio Gateway:

In October 2023, Salesforce conducted a security review and recommended some necessary changes for our Connected App, which empowers the ADvendio Gateway to work with your Salesforce data.

This authorization is required for features and integrations to work properly.

Please note that these changes will affect the functionality of your ADvendio features.

 

Customers Action Steps: 

To ensure uninterrupted service, it is important to re-authenticate the ADvendio Gateway after updating your ADvendio software to Version 2.169

  1. If you are using the features for the first time after installing version 2.169, you will see an authentication dialog box when using certain features. You must confirm, in order to authorize the ADvendio Gateway to access your data, for our features and third-party system integrations.

  2. Please note: You can only have one way for users to authenticate ADvendio: Either self-authorization or through the Salesforce administrator assigning permissions.

Re-authorization is typically requested automatically when using Connections, Finance or Campaigns features. The authorization only needs to be done once per user.

 

Please take note of the following important information:

  • Version 2.169 Installation and Re-authorization: It is crucial to re-authorize after installing ADvendio Version 2.169.

  • Impacted Customers: This update will impact the users of the Connections features and customers of Programmatic Add-On, Finance and Campaigns feature users, specifically, those using ADvendio Invoice Emails, Merge PDF feature or Booking Calendar Lightning/Inventory Forecast. Please note that all users of the affected features are required to go through a re-authentication process. It also applies to Salesforce users who are responsible for scheduled delivery imports to confirm their authentication.
