We improved the stability of our Gateway by introducing new logics, which will limit the number of identical request you can send to an external system via ADvendio.

Now what does this mean to you? For most cases not much, but let’s say you start a new transfer of inventory from an Adserver to ADvendio, which will take a long time, you are blocked from starting the process again until it’s finished. Other process like Check Availability depend on the Campaign Item you’re using, so you can’t do the same process in paralell for the same item, but can still do it for multiple different items.

We’re implementing this to help increase the overall stability of our Gateway to prevent downtime, so that our customers are sure to always be able to access their integrations to ADvendio. Please view also our wiki for more information.

You spoke, we listened. With version 2.128, we are happy to introduce our 'End Campaign Item Function. This function allows our users to prematurely end a Campaign Item without the need to cancel and reissue previous invoices. Automated processes run to import up to date delivery data and create either invoices or credit notes to cover any outstanding or overpaid amounts.

This feature also lays the groundwork for modifying running Subscription Contracts which will be a new feature in an upcoming release. Please see our Known Issues & limits for current restrictions on this feature.

In a recent stability improvement for our Gateway, we started to limit certain process to not be run at the same time.

This behavior was not acting as expected, when using our self service API features. There every check availability request was treated as coming from the same Item, making it impossible to have multiple requests at the same time.

We enhanced our logic to treat availability checks via our own forecasting api different. This will help to run multiple requests at the same time. This fix will also help you, if you were experiencing problems with the check availability from the Media Configuration, where parallel requests were also sometimes blocked. The process logic will now mainly affect transfers and imports, which take up a lot of resources in our gateway.
