7.2.23.3 How can I transition to the Campaign Builder and which restrictions apply?
Version | 2.157 |
---|
The Campaign Builder feature is generally available since version 2.157. We are looking forward to your feedback as well as enhancement ideas. Please contact our Customer Success Management team or support@advendio.com to share feedback with us.
Challenge
How can an org transition from using the Media Configuration to using the Campaign Builder?
Solution
Steps to be taken
For taking the Campaign Builder live for the users there are some considerations and restrictions to take into account. Please read them below carefully:
We recommend you testing your user flows and use cases while creating campaigns first. Although we already moved many features to the Campaign Builder it might be that some features you like to use or some solutions you customized do not work (yet). Please give us feedback if there are features you are missing.
Campaign Builder and Commercial Optimizer
We are planning the transition to Lightning for the Commercial Optimizer at the moment. With the September 2022 release (version 2.159 and higher), you can use the Campaign Builder and the Commercial Optimizer at the same time. Please read more in the section at the bottom of the page.
Custom Javascript: We know that this feature is used by many customers to give your custom workflows the last tweaks to fit. At the moment we offer limited possibilities to work with custom javascript: You can check them on this wiki page: 7.2.23.2 Setup of custom logic for the Campaign Builder (Custom javascript). Please let us know when you are missing certain options. Please take note that the custom javascript for the Media Configuration can not be reused for the Campaign Builder.

Details on the new targeting format and conversion feature
The Campaign Builder works with a new targeting format for Geo, Inventory, Device targeting, etc.
The Campaign Builder can now convert old targeting formats for old campaign items created by the Media Configuration as well as be used together with the Optimizer.
The optimizer is currently not transitioned to Lightning but we are working on making this feature available in 2024. Please take note that you can now use our Campaign Builder in combination with the Optimizer.
