4.3.9.2 Publication Date Wizard
As with any salesforce object records you can create 3.1.2.2 Publication Dates manually. An easier way to create Publication Dates is to use the Publication Date Wizard. The wizard allows you to
Create individual or mass Publication Dates
Create individual or mass Event Dates.Â
Edit individual events.
Navigate to Overview - Inventory Management - Publication Date Wizard. This will open a calendar view of the wizard which shows you all your already created publication dates.
Version 2.110 and up
ADvendio offers you now the possibility to define your due dates in even more detail:
Two kinds of Material Dues Dates let you set different dates for the material delivery for when you need it "not ready to use" and "ready to use".
The Reservation/Booking Due Date, Final Cancellation Date and Material Due Dates are now in a date time format which lets you define deadlines exact to the minute.
When you open the Publication Date Wizard after installing 2.110 (or higher) you'll be asked to convert your existing due dates into date time format. Please do this in order to use the new fields. The old fields Material Due Date and Reservation/Booking Deadline are marked as deprecated, you can continue to use them for your own reporting and validations, but new ADvendio features will use the new fields instead.
Scroll down to "Convert Due Dates" for more information.
Edit existing Publication Dates
If you click on one entry you will see the detailed information in the box on the right and you are able to edit and change information.
Filtering
You can also filter by site to narrow your view to only those publication dates.Â
Drag and Drop
You can move the date by dragging and dropping an item to another date:
Create individual or a Series of Publication Dates
To create a new publication date select the date in the calendar and click on the button: Create Publication Date/Create Series of Dates.
Create Publication Date
This will open an empty form on the right which you can fill with the respective data:
Create a new Publication Date by entering data into the following fields:
Publication Number - mandatory, this is the publication number which usually reflects your issue number or other recognizable name for your publication: The wizard displays only the first 20 digits!
Site - mandatory, here you choose your related site (magazine/journal/newspaper)
Publication Date (if you have clicked on a box in the calendar all date fields have been pre-selected for you).
All other dates are optional.Â
Hit save.
Types (deprecated)
Version < than 2.91
Normal - a regular publication
Special - pick if you have a special AdPrice for this issues.Â
Not Available - pick this if you like to exclude an AdPrice for this issue
If you select Special or Not Available, Ad Price is a mandatory field. Type is default Normal, which creates only a Publication Date. Special creates a related event date with ADvendio__Type__c = Available. Not Available creates a related event date with ADvendio__Type__c = Unavailable.
Create Series of Dates
If you have selected this button the first fields will be the same with the following changes/additions:
Publication Number: Is generated therefore can not be manually edited.Â
Frequency -Â mandatory
Start Date -Â mandatory
End Date - mandatory
Numbering - mandatory
Start Number - mandatory
Step Value - mandatory
Prefix
Suffix
Frequency
If daily is selected you have to select between "every weekday" or "every X day(s)".Â
If weekly is selected, you have to choose between the weekdays Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as the repeat timeframe (Repeat every X week).Â
If monthly is selected, you have to select between "At X. day of every Y month" or "At 1/2/3/4/last day/Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday of every X month."
Deprecated - for version < than 2.91: As you had selected Series of Event = TRUE, the Publication Number is now read-only and will be automatically created by your choice of Prefix and Number or optionally the chosen Suffix. You will see the first generated Name immediately after changing the number values.Â
Dates
You can set your deadlines automatically by entering an offset from the actual publication date. i.e. the material always has to be ready 7 days prior to the publication date. Revenue recognition is 10 days after.Â
The field End Date is limited to the current year's end date + next year (Example: Today is the 26th of July 2017, so the End Date is limited to 31.12.2018).Â
Â
Delete Publication Dates
