4.16.8.7 Use Case: Special Discounts

Basic Commitments

For example, for each booking of the Ad Spec "Lifestyle Magazine_Homepage_Takeover" booked, the customer will get a special discount of 6%.

When creating a Campaign Item for this Ad Spec in a Media Campaign with this Commitment selected, the special discount will be automatically set to 6% on load of the Media Configuration

Advanced Commitments

For advanced Commitments, Commitment Conditions can be created with validities to offer different discounts to the same inventory, depending on when they are running.

For example, for each booking of the Ad Spec "Lifestyle Magazine_Homepage_Takeover" running between 01.01.2021 - 30.06.2021, the customer will get a special discount of 6% but each booking running between 01.07.2021 - 31.12.2021, the customer will get a special discount of only 3%.

When creating a Campaign Item for this Ad Spec in a Media Campaign with this Commitment selected, the Commitments need to be applied in the Media Configuration which will then take into account the start and end date configured in the Media Configuration to determine which of the above Commitment Conditions should apply and to what extent.
