6.5.3.5 Accounting record creation table

With Version 2.158 accounting records will have the possibility to distribute Campaign items that do not have delivery data. So as of this version, it is not only site-based revenue distribution, it is revenue schedule distribution for this specific period. With this enhancement, the logic of how distribution and accrual records are created will be changed. Please see the tables below for more details.

Important information to consider

Accounting Distribution Quantity Type* on the Ad Spec level gives the logical information on how the Distribution, deferral, or accrual records on the Campaign item for Fixed price* billing categories should be calculated, for example, if for fixed price item the quantity is 1 but the revenue schedule has 10,000 delivered AIs, the logic needs to know that this should be calculated by impressions. This quantity type error will never be a problem for CPM because the Billing Category itself already defined the quantity type, e.g. for CPM it would be impressions. This field will be ignored for the Budget billing category.
When AdSpec has to be accounted for (distribution, deferral, accrual records) linearly and delivery data records should be ignored, the user can enable AdSpec for “Linear Accounting Calculation". When this checkbox is enabled, Accounting Records processes will ignore the delivered quantity from a connection.

Please note that if the Campaign item is invoiced based on delivery data and this checkbox is enabled, your invoice will be generated on the actual quantity however distributed linearly.

For Enhanced delivery data Sites and Video Groups, the secondary connection ID has to be present in the Enhanced delivery data record otherwise Distribution records will not be saved and show an error message.
