Challenge

As a user, I would like to see an overview of my Media Campaign budget and how much I already reached while configuring the items.

Solution

With this feature enabled in Campaign Builder, it allows displaying Media Campaign Summary with Campaign budget, Budget Summary and Open budget.

For this feature to be visible you need to ensure:

  • the budget amount is set

  • Enable Summary feature is activated

Media Campaign Summary

  • In the main menu Go to Media Campaigns, select your campaign

  • Go to Media Search

  • In the search Select and add the Campaign Items needed

  • Click on Start Campaign Builder

  • You will see Campaign Summary with Campaign Budget, Budget Summary and Open Budget displayed in the header of Media Campaign under the drop-down menu.

This option is available for those Media Campaigns where the budget has been set.

You can hide the drop-down menu and choose this info not to be displayed if needed:

When you adjust the amount calculation relevant data, like quantities, discounts, dates or numbers in your campaign builder, you will see all these changes to be displayed immediately in your Budget Summary.

Media Campaign Summary Warning message

Important: Warning message will pop up if your budget is exceeded.

Open Budget

The “Open budget” feature provides you with a clear understanding of the remaining budget for your campaign updating data in a real-time. It allows you to use this information directly in the Net Calculator (if it is set up) for calculating quantity or discounts in Campaign Items.

The Open Budget is calculated in the following way: Total budget minus the sum of both visible and non-visible used budget. Visible budget components are those that appear in the campaign builder, while non-visible components are the ones that are already saved in the campaign and currently not shown in the campaign builder.

Open Budget example

Campaign budget: 20.000,00 $
Budget summary: 13.350,00 $ of 20.000,00 $
Open budget: 6.650,00 $

 

Setup

Please ensure:

  • the summary field toggle Enable Summary on Item Configuration Setting is ticked

  • Your media Campaign already has a budget set.
