Guaranteed Outcomes in Xandr (vCPM, CPC and CPCv)
Context
vCPM, CPC and CPCv based bookings can work with guaranteed outcomes instead of impressions, this way users in ADvendio can set up Campaigns based on a target number of viewable impressions; clicks, or completed views and book these settings directly to Xandr. Creating a more seamless transition of the data between the two systems and less effort adjusting bookings manually in Xandr.
1. When setting Outcomes on an ALI (Augmented Line Item) Campaign Item
First, you need to set up the following specifics:
On the AdType:
Product Type → Video
AdType → Augmented (ALI)
Plus the necessary extra fields you required
On the Adspec:
Create an AdPrice indicating your Billing category of choice
The following billing categories are accepted in Ad Price or Campaign Item Level
CPM = Impressions
vCPM = Viewable Impressions
CPCv = Completed Video Views
The “quantity” of each billing category is selected also at a Campaign Item Level
On the Media Campaign
Select one of the Budget Types
Revenue :(Fixed Revenue in Xandr)
Impression :(Fixed Revenue in Xandr)
Flexible :(Flexible Revenue in Xandr)
On your Campaign Item(s)
Select one of the Ad Types Delivery Types options
Exclusive
Impressions
IMPORTANT: The Media Campaign ‘Budget Type’ needs to go in accord with the Billing category selected in the AdPrice
Revenue or Impression only works with the following Billing Category:
CPM
vCPM (Viewable CPM)
CPCv
Flexible works with the following Billing Category:
Dynamic CPM
Cost Plus
The desired Outcomes are properly configured, if everything else is done the Items must be submitted to Xandr
2. When setting Outcomes on a GDALI Line Item
First, you need to set up the following specifics:
On the AdType:
Product Type → Video
AdType → GDALI (Guaranteed Augmented)
Only on this option you can opt to have ‘Budget → Complete' in Xandr UI (Available from version 2.170)Plus the necessary extra fields you required
On the Adspec
Create an AdPrice indicating your Billing category of choice
The following billing categories are accepted in Ad Price or Campaign Item Level
CPM = Impressions
vCPM = Viewable Impressions
CPCv = Completed Video Views
