Challenge

Are you seeking a robust platform that provides opportunities for online advertising, enabling you to customize your ad campaigns, manage your budget, target potential customers, and assess your ad's performance without the constraints of a minimum spending requirement?

Please follow these step-by-step instructions to set up Google Ads in ADvendio:

Solution

To start using the Google Ads integration, you need to create a New Record Type "Google Ads". Follow the steps below:

1- Create Google Ads Connection

  • In the ADvendio main menu (App launcher), search for "Connections".

  • Click on the "Connections" tab.

  • Create a new connection record by selecting "New".

  • Choose "Google Ads" as the new record type.

  • It will open the "New Connection: GOOGLE ADS" window.

  • Enter your username in the required "User Name" field.

  • Use the Description field to add any additional information about the connection.

  • The Additional Password field will store the access token, it will be automatically filled after the process described in the next paragraph is completed.

  • The Network ID field is needed to define the Google Ads account to be used (very important if the user has a parent account and multiple accounts depending on it, each one with different permissions and visibility cones).

  • Click the "Save" button.

  • A new connection record for Google Ads will be created.

The Access Token field is not needed for this integration

Important Information on the Network ID field

To ensure proper use of this integration, it’s essential to understand how to configure the Network ID field.

2- Generate an OAuth token to complete the connection process

To generate an OAuth token, follow these steps:

  • Open the Google Ads Connection record you just created

  • In the right upper corner Click “Generate AdServer OAuth Token”, enter your username and press Submit

  • Press “Link to Ad Server”, which will open the ADvendio Connector, and will generate an access token based on your user credentials:

  • Log into Google Ads, Copy the token authorization code provided

  • Paste it into the ADvendio Authorisation Code field and press Submit.

4- Data to import from Google Ads

After obtaining the authentication token and establishing a connection with Google Ads, we highly recommend using the "Transfer to ADvendio" feature. Importing Google Ads data into ADvendio will allow seamless media advertising and buying activities.

By using this feature you can select the information you want to import into ADvendio:

5- Advertiser Account Mapping for Salesforce and Google Ads Integration

To connect Salesforce accounts with Google Ads, it's important to perform Advertiser Account Mapping.

For a detailed guide on how to map these accounts, refer to Chapter 2.1.4.5 How ADvendio matches your Salesforce Accounts with Advertisers, Agencies or Buyers in an external System?

For a smooth Google Ads integration with ADvendio it is recommended to perform the previously described steps:

  1. Create Google Ads Connection with ADvendio
