Challenge

You plan to use the ADvendio platform features to purchase media via Facebook. This article will provide an overview of the fields and configurations needed to set up Buying Items with Facebook Integration.


Solution

1. Buying Configuration


To begin the buying configuration process for successfully pushing Buying Orders/Items to Facebook/Instagram, follow these steps:

 Access the App Launcher and search for "Buying Configurations."

  1. Once in the "Buying Configuration" section, click on "New" to start

  • General Information

  • Select “Facebook” as a connection and select the “Active” checkbox

The following image shows the recommended set of fields to add for the Facebook integration:

2. Buying Order

The following table shows the list of fields defining the Buying Order for the Facebook Integration.

The icon in the Required column indicates the fields that can’t be empty for the successful submission of the Buying Order.

Check this box to set the Budget at an Order Level

 

 

Budget Amount (Daily)

 

Select one of the following options: “Budget Amount” or “Budget Amount Daily

Order Goal

Use this option to define a goal you would like to reach

Order Goal stands for Facebook Campaign objective

This option is mandatory to be set when creating Buying order

For programmatic media Buying this might affect your available options, depending on the platform you are using

 

Order Bid Strategy

 

If you set the Budget on the Buying Order, you also need to set the Bid Strategy

If you don’t set the Budget on Buying Order, you need to set Budget on the Buying Item and also set the Bid Strategy on the Buying Item

Otherwise, those fields can remain empty

Insertion Order ID

 

It will be assigned automatically after the Buying Order is successfully submitted

Status of the order

 

3. Buying Item

After creating a Buying Order, you can configure individual Buying Items, which will represent your Facebook AdSets.
These help to control your programmatic media spend, by setting up details like the bidding strategy, goals, and automatic optimizations.
You can create as many items as you like for your Buying Order.

The following table shows the list of fields defining the Buying Item for the Facebook Integration.

  • If Bid Strategy equals to Cost Cap or Bid Cap, you need to set a Bid Amount for each Buying Item

  • If Bid Strategy equals to Lowest Cost, the bid amount remains empty

 

Budget Amount (Daily)

 

 

It depends on the selected Bid Strategy

Bid Amount

Currently we only support the setting of fixed CPM bid, use this field to set your bid amount

Cost Cap or Bid Cap, you need to set a Bid Amount for each Buying Item

 

Optimization Strategy

 

  • Each Buying Item has an Optimization Strategy to set (Each valid Option you can use depends on the Order Goal)

  • If Optimization Strategy and Bid Strategy on the Buying Item are empty, system will use default values

A Buying Item requires either to set a Location or a Custom Audience
