How to set up advanced targeting as a combination of inventory and video targeting for FreeWheel items.

How to select Advanced Targeting

• Enter Campaign Builder ‘Targeting’

• Select the supported targeting types belonging to the categories of Inventory Targeting or Video Content we want to choose later in the Targeting Groups

• The accepted targeting is described here

• Once selected we need to enter the ‘Advanced Targeting’ tab

• Here we can create the Targeting groups we required

• Within each group, users can choose the previously selected targeting types

• Users can also define whether the groups themselves should be combined using AND or OR, with the exclusion group being an exception, as it always acts as an exclusion.

Supported Targeting Types (Freewheel’s Network Items)

• Inventory Targeting: Site, Site Section, Site Group (Other types are not supported).

• Video Content Targeting: Video, Video Series, Video Group.

Implementation Details

This functionality was integrated into the Campaign Builder Targeting selection.

1. UI Tab in Campaign Builder for Freewheel items:
   A new fixed tab was introduced, with a button positioned at the top right to enable Advanced Targeting settings.

2. Targeting Groups Logic:
   The UI will allow users to define Targeting groups and specify if IDs within each group are related by AND/OR operators.
