Display and Behavior of Preselected IDs in Campaign Builder
Preselected IDs Display and Restrictions
When you open the Targeting component for a Campaign Item, any Connection IDs or Targeting Sets that have been assigned via Ad Spec, Ad Type, or Account assignments will be automatically shown as preselected in the Campaign Builder. These preselected IDs are clearly marked and are disabled for deletion or manual selection—users cannot remove or deselect them from the UI. This ensures that mandatory targeting criteria defined at higher levels are always applied and cannot be accidentally altered.
Include/Exclude Behavior
The include/exclude logic is fully supported for preselected IDs. If a preselected ID is set to be included or excluded based on its assignment, this status will be reflected in the Campaign Builder. The UI will display whether each preselected ID is included or excluded, and this setting cannot be changed for preselected items.
Exception: Flexible Targeting Template Assignments
If a Targeting Set assignment has the “Flexible Targeting Template” option enabled, it will not be shown as a preselected ID in the Campaign Builder. This exception allows users to adjust or override targeting as needed for more flexible campaign setups, ensuring that only fixed (non-flexible) assignments are enforced as preselected and locked in the UI
Limitations for AdButler
Single Inventory Targeting for AdButler: in Inventory Targeting select only one targeting criteria for AdButler due to restriction. If more then a one targeting value is selected, customer will encounter an error.
