1.1. Overview
Audience Lists are now fully supported in ADvendio's Pinterest integration. With this enhancement, advertisers can import existing Audience Lists from Pinterest and use them directly as targeting in Buying Orders. This brings a new level of customization and strategic targeting to your campaigns.
1.2. What’s New?
You can now:
Import Audience Lists from Pinterest using the “Transfer to ADvendio” feature.
Access and select different types of Audience Lists inside the Targeting section of a Pinterest Buying Item.
Choose to include or exclude specific lists.
Submit Buying Orders with Audience Lists as part of your targeting strategy.
1.3. Why This Matters
Audience Lists give you precision targeting capabilities by:
Using pre-defined segments based on Pinterest user behaviors and your own data.
Reaching people based on Engagement, Site Visitors, ActaLike Customers or Customer Lists.
Increasing campaign relevance with strategic audience segmentation.
1.4. Types of Pinterest Audience Lists Supported
Actalike Audiences – Users similar to your existing audience.
Engagement Audiences – Users who interacted with your content.
Customer List Audiences – Based on lists you’ve uploaded to Pinterest.
Visitor Audiences – Visitors to your website are tracked via Pinterest Tag.
All of these are available under the Audience Segments category in ADvendio.
1.5. How to Use It
1.5.1. Import Audience Lists
Open an active Pinterest connection in ADvendio, or create a new one (click on the nine-dots menu in the top left corner and type “Connections“).
Click on the Transfer to ADvendio button and select Audience Segment
Select the type of lists you want to import from:
Acktalike
Customer List
Engagement
Visitor
You can schedule the transfer or click on “Run Now” to start it right away.
This will import the Audience Lists in ADvendio in the form of Connection IDs, directly from the Pinterest platform.
1.5.2. Add Interests to a Buying Item
Create a new Pinterest Buying Item or open an existing one and press the Edit button.
Click on the Targeting tab.
Click on the pencil icon in the targeting section of the Buying item to open the targeting tree.
Navigate to the Audience Segments and expand the section to display the component.
Press the “Add Audience Item” button and select an Audience List from the “Name of Audience Item“ menu to add it to your targeting, and use the menu on the left to select Include or Exclude.
Press the “+ Add Audience Item“ button to add a new list.
Press “Save and Back“ once you have completed your selection to return to the Buying Item.
1.5.3. Submit as Usual
Once your Buying Item targeting includes the desired Audience Lists, proceed with your Buying Order submission to Pinterest as normal.
Notes & Limitations
You must have valid Pinterest Connection IDs and corresponding data in your Ad Account for the import to work.
There’s no need to manually create new audience lists in ADvendio — simply import the existing ones from Pinterest.
Audience Lists support both inclusion and exclusion, similar to how you’d use them in Pinterest’s Ads Manager.
To display Audience Lists, at least one valid Pinterest Advertiser must be imported into ADvendio. Please use the 'Transfer to ADvendio' function to import it before accessing the Audience Lists targeting.
