Ad Price Connection Id Assignments
The Targeting component in the Campaign Builder supports Connection Id Ad Price Assignments. This feature allows you to filter out targeting records based on the Connection Id assigned to them. When you enter a Category for a Connection Id in the UI, only the records connected to that Connection Id will be displayed.
For example, if you assign the Key "Age" to an Ad Price, you will no longer be able to see the other Key Values when you open the Key Value Targeting UI for the same Ad Price.
To create and set up Ad Price Connection ID Assignments, refer to this page 3.5.7 Create Ad Price Connection ID Assignments for Blacklisting/Whitelisting of Targeting Criteria and Key Values for Products.
Google Ad Manager CMS Key Values
Google Ad Manager is undergoing a migration process to transfer specific Key Values to a new technical background called CMS Key Values. These new CMS Key Values can be selected in the Key Value targeting feature. When working with GAM items in the Key Value UI, you will be able to select CMS Keys and Values, which will allow for seamless integration of new CMS Key Values into your existing grouping logic.
Targeting for Key Value / Audience Segments
Campaign Builder allows Targeting by Key Value and Audience Segments for Campaign Items
For Google Ad Manager (GAM) Key Values/Audience Segments are built as one feature
For Xandr there are two separate sections, one for Key Values and one for Audience Segments
Option 1 - Key Value Adding from Group Menu:
Key Value and Audience Segments are located in the Campaign Builder Targeting section
On the right-hand side of the Targeting section, you will see under Targeting
By pressing menu you will access various targeting options for Campaign Item
Select Key Values option at the bottom of the menu
It will open a new section called Groups
Press Add Key Value button and select the information needed in the fields: Name of Key Value and Value
Press Add Group if you need to enter more Groups and additional key-value information
Press Save and Back and you will see summarised key values under Targeting
By separating values with a comma, you can add multiple values at once. Be aware to not leave any blanks between values and commas.
Alternatively, you can select key values from Group menu, when pressing menu you will see the option Add Key Value, it will bring the same menu to add key-value data in Targeting.
You Can add values in two ways: directly from Group menu or you can add values from the tree feature on the right : Add from tree
Option 2 - Key Value Adding from Tree Menu:
In Key Values targeting in the Groups menu select
Choose to Add from Tree option (Alternatively, there is a button with the same name Add Key Value displayed at the bottom of the Group menu page)
You might see options: Keys, Presets, Search
In option Keys, you will see the Tree menu displayed with Key drop-down menu.
Press > arrow next to the Key and open the Tree drop-down menu with associated Values located underneath
To open up Values information select > arrow. For example, by selecting Key for Age in the Tree menu you will find Values for varied age groups (18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+).
Tick the box with the Key option needed (Important to activate your Key selection)
Tick the box with the Value option needed
Press Add, then Save and Back
Selected key values information will be summarised under Targeting opposite each Campaign Item
Free Form Key Value in Targeting
Freeform Key Values are enabled in Targeting and can be selected from AdServer and this new added value will be reflected in User Interface:
To add a key value for Postal Codes, select Postal Codes in the Name of Key Value
Enter the Postal Code number into the field Value. You can submit this value regardless if this is an existing Key Value or a new value.
The data you have added will be reflected in the User Interface.
Audience Segment Presets
You can use Audience Segment Presets festure for GAM, Xandr, Freewheel, and Adswizz. It simplifies the process of selecting values in the LWC Key Values Targeting UI. You can link multiple Audience Segments and set different values using logical operators. The Audience Segment presets are considered during both availability checks and submit processes. It works similarly to KeyValue presets, with groups and operators.
Pasting Comma-Separated Values for Key Value and Audience Segment Targeting
This feature lets users paste multiple comma-separated key values or audience segment values into the system for automatic selection. Valid values are selected automatically, while invalid values remain in the input field for review.
Steps to Use:
In Campaign Builder open the targeting modal and paste values.
The system selects valid values.
Invalid values stay in the field and can be edited and corrected. A toast is displayed for invalid values: "There were invalid values included in your selection. Please review the selection."
Custom Grouping
You can now use a custom grouping tab for your Key Values and Audience Segment tree selections.
The custom grouping will show you Values sorted into custom categories.
To open the tabs make sure to select “Add from tree“ and then you should see the tabs “Key Values Custom Grouping“ and/or “Audience Segments Custom Grouping”.
Logical operators
Operators in Google Account Manager
For GAM available logical operators are:
AND logical operator is available inside of one group of values
